Prostate cancer is the most common cancer and the second most deadly male cancer in Norway with about 5,000 new cases diagnosed and approximately 1,000 deaths every year. Research challenges involving prostate cancer include improved methods for early detection as well as the development of new treatments and prognostic markers.
